 La Plagne offers some of the best skiing in the Alps- snow is guaranteed thanks to the Bellecôte glacier and the season is long, with pistes over 3000 m. The 220 km of pistes offer stunning scenery, which have recently been doubled with the construction of the “Vanoise Express” cable car link to Les Arcs, completed in December 2003. There are on-going improvements to, and maintenance of, the existing skiing network, which provides easy access around the 10 villages comprising the resort. Lyon Airport is 2 hours away.
